A profit-sharing agreement must be filed on the TéléAccords platform, and this filing is a prerequisite for tax and social security exemptions. After filing, the Ministry issues a receipt and forwards the agreement to the Urssaf (the French social security agency), which has three months from the filing date to request the withdrawal or modification of clauses that violate the law. The same rule applies to employee profit-sharing: without filing, the company cannot benefit from tax and social security exemptions.
This page describes the filing process and its consequences. It does not specify the deadline for filing (economie.gouv.fr refers to Article D. 3313-1 of the French Labor Code: this deadline should be verified in the text), nor the list of required documents, nor the procedure for an amendment or termination. It also does not describe the platform screen by screen.

Regarding profit-sharing, economie.gouv.fr states: "Filing is a prerequisite for benefiting from tax and social security exemptions." Regarding employee participation: "Without filing, the company cannot benefit from tax and social security exemptions.".
The BOFiP (Official Bulletin of Public Finances), regarding income tax, states the same conditions. For profit-sharing: "In all cases, the exemption applies subject to the filing of the profit-sharing agreement" (BOI-RSA-ES-10-10, § 50, version in force since 10/08/2026). For employee participation, the benefit of the exemption is "subject to the filing of the participation agreement with the administrative authority," and the BOFiP adds that an online filing platform of the Ministry of Labor is dedicated to this filing (BOI-RSA-ES-10-20, § 200, same version).
Before filing: finalize the agreement
The deposit is made after the agreement is concluded. The sources consulted describe the following points regarding the incentive.
Ways to conclude it. According to economie.gouv.fr (page dated 21/09/2026), the agreement can be concluded within the framework of a collective agreement or convention, between the employer and representative trade unions, within the Social and Economic Committee (CSE), or "by ratification, by a two-thirds majority of the staff, of a draft agreement proposed by the employer." In certain companies with fewer than 50 employees, the employer can implement profit-sharing by unilateral decision when the company is not covered by an approved sectoral agreement and a report of disagreement has been drawn up; the CSE is then consulted "at least 15 days before its submission.".
The industry agreement. A company can rely on an approved industry-wide agreement: it concludes its own agreement and then files it. In companies with fewer than 50 employees, a unilateral accession document is possible when the industry-wide agreement provides for it.
The "My turnkey profit-sharing" service. An agreement written entirely with this service, then filed with its QR code without modification, "is deemed to comply with the legal provisions in force" (economie.gouv.fr).
Duration. The agreement is concluded for a period of 1 to 5 years (service-public.gouv.fr, record F2140, verified on 01/01/2026). According to economie.gouv.fr, it is renewed for a period equal to its initial duration, unless a request for renegotiation is made within the three months preceding its expiry.
The time frame for completion. «"The agreement must be concluded before the first day of the 7th month following the date of its entry into force" (sheet F2140).
For profit-sharing, economie.gouv.fr (page written on 22/09/2026) lists the same main options: collective bargaining agreement at the industry or professional level, agreement with representative trade unions, agreement within the Works Council (CSE), or a draft agreement adopted by referendum with a two-thirds majority of employees. If negotiations fail in a company not subject to the obligation, the employer can unilaterally implement a profit-sharing scheme that complies with the law. Profit-sharing is mandatory for companies that have employed at least 50 employees per month continuously over the past five years; if no agreement is reached within one year of the end of the profitable financial year, the scheme is implemented at the initiative of the labor inspectorate. The deadline for concluding a profit-sharing agreement is not specified here: this should be verified with the official source.
After filing: receipt and inspection by the Urssaf (French social security agency).
Once the agreement has been filed, the relevant department of the Ministry of Labour issues a receipt to the company, then forwards the agreement and its annexes to the Urssaf (form F2140, form F2141).
The French social security agency (Urssaf) reviews the agreement. Regarding profit-sharing, economie.gouv.fr states that it has three months from the filing date to request the withdrawal or modification of clauses that violate the law. If it makes no observations within this period, the tax and social security exemptions are considered granted for the current fiscal year. It then has two months to make requests for subsequent fiscal years. Fact sheet F2140 states that the Urssaf "has a period of 3 to 5 months" to request modifications to the agreement's provisions; the overview on economie.gouv.fr (page dated March 20, 2026) states that it "has 3 to 5 months" to verify its compliance. The applicable timeframe for your agreement should be verified with the Urssaf.
For employee profit-sharing, the Urssaf (French social security agency) has three months from the date of filing to process the claim. If the agency requests the withdrawal or modification of clauses that violate the law, the company must amend them. Sources consulted indicate a three-month deadline from the date of filing for employee profit-sharing; the exact timeline should be verified with the Urssaf.
A late filing
According to fact sheet F2140, an agreement concluded or filed after the deadline is valid. "However, social security and tax exemptions will only be granted for calculation periods following the filing date."«
Ceilings to keep in mind before signing
For 2026, each employee's profit-sharing bonus cannot exceed 75% of the annual social security ceiling, or €36,045; the total of all bonuses cannot exceed 20% of the total gross salaries paid (fact sheet F2140). The individual profit-sharing ceiling is also €36,045 for 2026 (fact sheet F2141). The 2026 annual social security ceiling is €48,060 (economie.gouv.fr, page written on 31/12/2025).
TeleAccords: encrypted example (fictitious profile)
Situation. A company with 30 employees, annual gross payroll of €1,500,000. It plans a profit-sharing package of €90,000, distributed equally among the 30 employees (illustration scenario: the distribution formula is set by the agreement).
Issue. Management is wondering if the budget complies with the limits, and what step conditions the exemptions.
Strategy. Compare the envelope to the collective ceiling (20 % of gross salaries) and each person's share to the individual ceiling (€36,045), then check the order of steps: conclude the agreement before the first day of the 7th month following its effective date, file it on TéléAccords, keep the receipt, follow the three-month deadline of the Urssaf.
Result. The collective limit is €300,000 (20% of €1,500,000). The €90,000 allocation represents 6.00% of the payroll, leaving €210,000 below the limit. Each employee receives €3,000, or 8.32% of the individual limit. In this example, the limits are respected; the step that triggers the exemptions is the filing.
This profile is fictitious. The amounts are hypothetical: they illustrate the calculation of the ceilings and do not guarantee any tax or contribution savings.
